Thoughts: The History of Hockey Cards

Haven't done one of these posts in a while, so I thought why not when I stumbled upon the topic for this post. The other day I was surfing around the internet and came across a neat video over at Cardboard Connection. It's a nice look at the history of hockey cards.

Pretty neat, eh? You've got everything from the tobacco cards all the way through The Cup and Dominion. Cards have definitely changed over the years haven't they? Most of the stuff in this video is far before my time, but I can still appreciate it as a collector.

What are your favorite sets highlighted in the video?

  1. Interesting video - it's kind of instructive which things got left out. I don't think there were any base cards shown for the past number of years and some 70s sets got skipped. Still nice to see.
